Create a Defect

This guide provides a simple process for defect creation, enabling users to report issues efficiently. Following these instructions ensures all necessary information is captured for better communication and resolution.

Step By Step Guide

1. Click "Defects" on the Plexa Dashboard
2. Click the "Create Defect" button
3. Enter the "Defect Details"
   • Click the "Title field"
   • Select the "Priority field" from the dropdown
   • Select the "Location field"
   • Click the "Trade field"
   • Select the "Area Field" (optional)
   • Click the "Description field"
   • Select the "Assign To field"
   • Click the "Due Date field"
4. Click "Create" to complete the defect listing and notify the assigned user

Notes/Recommendations

• If defect trades are not shown, create types on desktop by following the same process and selecting the ‘+’ icon above ‘Trade’
• All other users under the same organisation will be able to view and respond to the defect although will not receive notification for updates
• Initiators of defects can approve and close observations once subcontractors have responded with photo evidence via the following process
• As a subcontractor, you can only respond to an observation as ‘Fixed’ if you provide photo evidence
