Enabling 2 Factor Authentication (2FA)

2FA

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security measure that requires users to provide two different forms of identification before accessing an account.

Enabling 2FA enhances security by adding an extra layer of protection beyond just a password. This is particularly important for safeguarding sensitive information and preventing unauthorised access.

After entering your password (the first factor), verify your identity with a second factor, such as:

  • Microsoft Authenticator: Enter the 6-digit code from the app.
  • SMS: Enter the 6-digit code sent to your phone.
  • Hardware Token: Input the code displayed on your device.

2FA can be combined with any Single Sign-On (SSO) method.
